Just a 15-minute walk from the city center, this charming papaya house lays at the end of a one-way street in a local and quiet neighborhood.
Cozy but spacious, it offers a welcoming living area with a generous kitchen, a sofa area with a smart TV and a light dining room with direct access to the garden.
Two bedrooms with comfortable double beds and a sleeping sofa in the living room make the house suitable for maximum 4 guests.
A washing machine, air conditioning and private parking space for a rental car; this house is very suitable for longer stays on the island.
In the garden you can enjoy the sun almost all year around. In the evening you can make a nice BBQ and relax in green atmospheres.

Madeira
This island truly has something magical. Its mountainous landscape creates breathtaking views, a wide variety of flowers and plants, and above all, four seasons that seem to blend together in one place. From summer to autumn, winter, and back to spring—all these experiences are within reach on a single drive. As a Brazilian-Dutch couple, many things came together for us in this subtropical climate, and we fell in love with the island instantly. The friendly people, the delicious food, and the pleasant weather all year round make it feel like home. We hope you will enjoy this special place just as much as we do.

Rachelle moved from Holland to Madeira in 2024. She and her friend Jeroen also fell in love with the magical ambiance of the island and couldn't resist moving! They settled in the beautiful place Calheta and have a incredible view over the ocean and the mountains. With a background in tourism she loves helping people getting their way around the island and get comfortable in A Casa Papaya!
